2nd Shift Automation OperatorTitle: Automation OperatorStatus: HourlyShift: 2nd, 2p - 10pReporting Relationship: Reports directly to Dept. 680 SupervisorLocation: Painesville, OHEducation: A high school diploma or equivalentPersonal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus.Principal Area of Responsibility: The finisher must be able to perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in the belting, stoning and gauging of metal castings, defined as turbine components or castings of comparable weight and size (from approximately 5 to 75 pounds).Specific Duties:Operate machine to belt and stone finishing and refinishing of visual indications.Perform all gauging necessary.Ensure dimensional integrity of all parts utilizing gauges, micrometers, calipers and dial sure visual acceptance of castings.Pass inspection test.May perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes.
