The operator sets up each job according to the job specifications and maintains established production standards. This is a production job requiring the operator to stand 8 hours a day. The position requires the operator be detail orientated and have a strong mechanical aptitude. This position is located in Waunakee, Wisconsin.Duties, Responsibilities & Abilities:Interpret and follow direction from a PrintStream work ticketMechanical aptitude to set up and operate: 6 station Bell & Howell inserter or a similar model from another manufacturer, postage meter and tray banding equipmentMechanical aptitude to set up and operate: Video Jet Ink Jet equipment or a similar model from another manufacturer and tray banding equipmentAbility to work in a fast paced production environmentAbility to stand for up to 8 hoursAbility to lift up to 10 lbs. repetitivelyAbility to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to bend repetitivelyAbility to work well with co-workers in a team environmentAbility to operate a computer based insert matching systemSupport safety practices including the handling of and disposal of hazardous chemicalsAbility to understand specific customer and quality related job processes and detail requirementsPerform preventative maintenance and routine repairsSkills & Educational Requirements:Prior print shop and/or mail house experience a plusExperience operating inserters, inkjets and other mailing equipmentGeneral knowledge of US postal regulationsHigh School education or equivalent professional experience
