We are seeking a Sanitation Worker for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will collect trash and garbage from city residents, and commercial establishments, onto a collection vehicle on an assigned shift.Hours are Monday - Friday, 5:30am - 1:30pm** This posiiton has a pay rate of $15/hr **** This position is for a pitcher working on the back of a garbage truck **-Works on an assigned garbage collection route as a member of a collection crew- Picks up garbage and trash and loads materials into collection truck -Cleans area of collection - Assists with cleaning trucks and related equipment- Assists with performing preventive maintenance checks and services on vehicles and equipment daily -Performs other duties as required- A valid Drivers License- 18 years of age or older- Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, often under adverse weather conditions
