Associate’s degree in a related field or the equivalent is required. In addition, a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience is required. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required. With dedication and precision, the Advanced Quality Technician will determine requirement compliance of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic parts and materials through visual inspection, electrical or mechanical screening and physical measurements. Working directly with project engineering and QA, you’ll develop part testing and screening requirements, configure electrical component test set-ups, fabricate electrical test fixtures, write programs for automated test systems and perform part screening tests such as Solderability, Hermeticity, and PIND. **THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION**As a Quality Technician for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before they are delivered to our customers. This position requires a strong understanding of quality control processes and the ability to work with precision measurement tools. The Quality Technician performs overall quality inspection for machined parts to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards for the manufacture of Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries.
