The nurse is expected to incorporate and demonstrate the message of St. Gabriel’s stated mission, including its Christian ethics, philosophy and values.Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesProvides basic, bedside care.Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner.Performs triage, collects current symptoms, records patients’ current vital signs, as well as a detailed patient history.Works directly under physician’s direction and/or policies/procedures.Prepares and administers and records prescribed medications.Provides Patient/Family Education.Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocol.Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate formsMaintains proper supply levels and appropriate medical equipment.Other duties as assigned by management.RequiredGraduate from an accredited school of nursingRN in MinnesotaBLSACLS within 12 months of hireTNCC within 24 months of hireENPC within 24 months of hireATCN may be substituted for TNCCPALS may be substituted for ENPCPreferredTwo years emergency nursing experienceKnowledge of nursing principles, policies, procedures and hospital ethics
