Job Description

Morning Star provides a safe, structured, sober environment for women in recovery from substance use. Tailored to the unique needs of women, including women with children, our residences help women take greater responsibility for themselves and move on to healthy, autonomous lives. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Women's Coordinator is responsible for thecoordination of services for women on campus and in the community.REPORTS TO: Program DirectorSUPERVISES: Primary Counselors, Peer Advocate, Vocational Counselor I. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:o Responsible for the coordination of all referrals, assessment, and intake of new residents.o Responsible for the coordination of services for women on campus and in the communityo Responsible for reporting as required by OASAS and SCO.o Responsible for ensuring clinical services are provided as required by OASAS and SCO.o Responsible for holding weekly staff and monthly community meetings for MS1 and MS2.o Directly implement Evidence Based Practices (EBP'S), including? Beyond Trauma? Helping Women Recover? Women's Circle CBT groupso Develop protocols for service coordination with relevant SCO programso Develop protocols for linking individuals and families with community partner agencieso Initiate clinical service coordination for all enrolled women and familieso Work closely with Children's Coordinator to integrate and coordinate services for familieso Perform other duties as assigned.II. QUALIFICATIONS:o Master Degree and Licensure in Human Service field (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, Child Development) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in fields of addiction, mental health, child development, services to vulnerable families. CASAC or CASAC-T in addition is recommended.III. RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS:o Be team player.o Have a strong sensitivity to cultural differences present among staff and clients within our organization.o Possess a strong belief in people's ability to grow and change.
