Parts Department Manager

The **Mechanical Parts Coordinator** is responsible for overseeing the flow, accuracy, and availability of mechanical components and parts used in manufacturing, assembly, or repair operations. This position ensures that the right parts are ordered, received, stored, and distributed efficiently to maintain production schedules and reduce downtime. **Key Responsibilities**: -Coordinate and manage the inventory of mechanical parts and materials. -Track incoming and outgoing parts; ensure accurate recordkeeping in inventory systems. -Review work orders and production schedules to anticipate parts needs. -Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding order status, pricing, and delivery schedules. -Inspect received parts for accuracy, quality, and completeness before stocking or distribution. -Issue parts to technicians, fabricators, or maintenance teams as required. -Maintain an organized parts storage area and ensure labeling and bin accuracy. -Work with purchasing and maintenance teams to identify critical spare parts and manage reorder points. -Support cost control by minimizing excess inventory and obsolete parts. **Qualifications**: -High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred. -2+ years of experience in parts coordination, inventory control, or mechanical stores (manufacturing or industrial setting preferred). -Knowledge of mechanical components, fasteners, bearings, motors, and fabrication materials. -Proficient in using inventory management or ERP software. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on warehouse tasks as needed. **Preferred Skills**:Experience with mechanical drawings or bills of materials (BOMs).Forklift certification. **Compensation and Benefits**:Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experiencePaid time off and holidays
