Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer based out of Huntsville, Alabama for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) efforts. IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS into their militaries, the US and other nations are transforming their integrated missile defense capabilities in a consistent manner. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Perform analysis at all levels of total system product life cycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. **Basic Qualifications:** + Provide technical direction and architecture definition for the IBCS SW system + Bachelors and 14 years in Science: Masters and 12 years with Masters; 10 years with PhD + Extensive knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems + Sensor and Effector domain knowledge as it relates to Battle Management Systems + Experience engineering and/or integrating software components and technologies relative to C2 Systems and/or networks in large, distributed military (US/NATO) operational environments + Experience in aerial defense weapon systems and/or network engineering in a large, distributed environment with emphasis on military (US/NATO) operations + Provide expert technical guidance for RF network development, optimization, operation, and troubleshooting. + Experience in integrating external communications data into a complex C2 architecture + Collect, review, and analyze test data to evaluate system performance and identify anomalies within the IBCS framework **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIAMD) Battle Command and Control (IBCS). + Understanding of Area Air Defense Plans and Blue Force Designs Primary Level Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
