This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.As a trusted partner to government agencies and national laboratories, Omega Technical Services supports some of the nation's most complex and high-impact programs. Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unit.Plans and directs engineering assignments on the project.Demonstrates technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of practical work experience necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above. Advanced engineering or technical degree is highly desired.Advanced knowledge and experience in managing technical teams and interfacing with other engineering disciplines.Advanced knowledge and understanding of technical scope development and senior-level understating of common engineering design document deliverables.Advanced knowledge of design development and design review process (30%/60%/90%) and extensive prior experience facilitating design reviews.Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes and standards in common use at DOE and DOD facilities (ASME, NQA-1, IBC, IEBC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).Knowledge of common project schedule and cost tracking methodologies and programs (P6, MS Project, EVMS, etc.).Demonstrated understanding of US Government contracting or procurement methods/processes, specifically related to subcontract Architecture & Engineering agreements.Experienced as a mentor and advisor to junior engineers.Prior experience working for/with the DOE or DOD in an engineering or project management capacity.Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q Clearance. An already active clearance is preferred.Training/Certifications:Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.
