Job Title:SuperintendentDivision:ConstructionSupervisor:PointArea ManagerBenefits:Salary to be Determined, 401(k) Match, Profit Sharing,Bonus,Insurance, Company Truck, CompanyCell Phone Allowance________________________________________________________________________________________________Job Summary:Schedule, coordinate and supervise craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or moreprojects. Workingin particular constructiondisciplines (civil,utilities,and subcontractor management).________________________________________________________________________________________________Duties and Responsibilities:Visualize, fulfill, and implementthe vision and core values.Plan and supervise craft activitiesincluding:determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.Maintain liaison with engineeringand planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.AssistLaborRelations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, etc., as necessary.Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control,Equipment)to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.Ensurecompliance with all safety and environmental requirements.Maintain insurable driving record.Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.Develop and train team (equipment operators and laborers).Responsible for teamstart timesby being on site with team.________________________________________________________________________________________________Education and/or Experience:Minimum offiveyears supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools and work procedures required.Minimum ofeightyearsconstruction experience in civil and utility work.________________________________________________________________________________________________Qualifications:Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups.Good organizational skills.Ability to work towards and reach deadlines.Clear understanding of survey process and comprehension of surveygradestakes.Knowledge ofthe aspects of machine guidance equipment.Ability totrain and mentor all team members(operators, laborers, etc.)PhysicalDemands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Sitting:40%ofthe time.Standing:60% ofthetime.Weight Lifted:Mustfrequently be able to lift and carryupto50pounds. May occasionally lift items above their head.PhysicalMovement:May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch,kneel,grab and hold objects, mayclimb a ladder.Speaking/ Listening:Needsto beable to communicate well with customers, dispatch,supervision, receive and followinstructions, and understand safety requirements.Working Conditions:50% oftimewill be spent working outside in the elements.
