Benefits may vary based on state law.Under the operational direction of the Corporate Director of Telehealth and clinical supervision of the on-site Telehealth physician, the candidate will work collaboratively with corporate Telehealth and local Hospital team members, to ensure a seamless Telehealth clinic work-flow. The Telehealth Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will serve as a local point of contact at the SHC Hospital, be responsible for the local site Telehealth operations and act as the local link between the SHC Hospital, affiliate site, and the Corporate Telehealth department. The CMA will assist the Corporate Director of Telehealth and Regional Telehealth Coordinator in identifying potential telehealth patients, and ensure policies and procedures are followed at the local SHC Hospital. Telehealth responsibilities will remain the priority of this position, but general clinic duties may be assigned during availability. Portland Shriners is looking for a full time Telehealth Certified Medical Assistant to join the team!*This position is on-site*Coordinates local Telehealth activities, projects, and assigned tasks as directed by the Corporate Director of Telehealth, Regional Telehealth Coordinator, and Hospital leadershipWill assist in Telehealth patient registration, scheduling, data tracking and reportingPrepares the consult room and Telehealthequipment prior to the scheduled Telehealth consultStands by during the Telehealth consult to provide technical and/or operational assistance forthe SHC Provider when necessaryAnswers patient, family and physician questions appropriately and within his/her scope of practiceMaintains a comprehensive understanding of Telehealth technologies and department proceduresWelcomes patients and families, in person or on the telephoneAssists with verification of patient information, taking of vital signs and other assigned tasksNote: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.
