Description We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in Arcadia, California. In this role, you will oversee a variety of complex legal cases, guiding clients through all stages of litigation, from initial preparation to trial and possible appeals. This position requires exceptional analytical, research, and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse caseload and provide strategic legal counsel. Responsibilities: u2022 Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including areas such as contract disputes, employment law, intellectual property, real estate, and tort claims. u2022 Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, contracts, and other necessary filings. u2022 Handle discovery processes, including document review, drafting interrogatories, and conducting depositions. u2022 Prepare and advocate for clients during trials, post-trial proceedings, and appeals when required. u2022 Offer precise and well-considered legal advice to clients, addressing their concerns and navigating complex legal challenges. u2022 Negotiate settlements and resolutions with opposing parties to achieve efficient outcomes. u2022 Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and updates on case developments. u2022 Stay informed on evolving laws, regulations, and practices relevant to the field, ensuring compliance and providing valuable insights to clients. u2022 Utilize legal technology tools, case management systems, and electronic discovery platforms to streamline processes. Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active bar license in the practicing state. u2022 At least 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a proven ability to handle complex cases. u2022 Strong legal research, analytical writing, and negotiation skills. u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including presenting legal arguments effectively. u2022 Proficiency in using legal technology, case management software, and electronic discovery tools. u2022 Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks under strict deadlines. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within teams while maintaining independence in case management. u2022 Specialized experience in areas such as employment law, contract management, intellectual property, or real estate is preferred.
