Job Title: Registered Nurse - Acute General Medicine/Telemetry Department: Acute General Medicine/Telemetry (5400/5500) Location: Rochester General Hospital Hours Per Week: Full-Time (36 hours per week) Schedule: Day/Evening, Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 SUMMARY: As a Registered Nurse (RN), youu2019re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. The Acute General Medicine/Telemetry Unit (5400/5500) provides specialized care for patients facing a combination of substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and complex medical conditions. This unit offers RNs a valuable opportunity to develop and refine their clinical skills in managing patients with cardiac conditions requiring telemetry, diabetes, kidney disease and dialysis, pulmonary issues, and those requiring care involving multiple drips, drains, and catheters. RNs on 5400/5500 play a key role in delivering high-quality, holistic care to a diverse and medically complex patient population. RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care u00b7 Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient). u00b7 Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family. u00b7 Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals. u00b7 Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation. u00b7 Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately. u00b7 Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States. Compliance u00b7 Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year. u00b7 Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner. u00b7 Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: u00b7 Diploma or Associateu2019s Degree in Nursing u00b7 Registered Nurse license in New York State. u00b7 Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Nursing preferred. u00b7 At least 6 months RN experience preferred. EDUCATION: AS: Nursing (Required) LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $37.18 - $49.92 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14621 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
