Job Title: Project Scheduler Principal Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Scheduler Principal to coordinate team activities and support Project Managers using P6. The ideal candidate will have minimal supervision, perform as a scheduler and/or commodity tracker for major projects, and develop and analyze complex schedules. You will work closely with site execution teams, contractors, and management to ensure effective project execution. Responsibilities + Define activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop and implement the scope of work plan and milestones. + Ensure all logic and activities support the required level of detail and meet internal department standards. + Develop fully integrated system schedules, including resource loading and leveling, using critical path methodology. + Mentor junior schedulers and assist in organizing schedule review meetings with stakeholders. + Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders and guide the administration of project management standards. + Adhere to guidance and standards set by the Project Management Governance Committee. + Assign security profiles and roles for new users, and diagnose and resolve issues with schedules. + Mentor and train junior schedulers on various scheduling techniques and analyses. + Perform schedule and cost integration, including SPI/CPI processes, and provide risk assessments with mitigation actions. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Primavera and Primavera P6. + Strong project management and project scheduling skills. + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. + Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate organizational skills. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and the ability to develop complex spreadsheets. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Qualified degrees in related fields such as Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Project Management. + 10 years of qualified experience with a High School Diploma or GED. + 8 years of qualified experience with an Associate's degree. + 6 years of qualified experience with a Bachelor's degree. + Professional or trade certification such as CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, or RMP is required for candidates with a high school diploma or non-qualified degree; preferred otherwise. + Experience in utility-specific operations, project management, cost tracking, analysis, forecasting, and working with accounting principles. Work Environment This position requires on-site work with some overtime. Travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary.
