Eatonu2019s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Director for its Data Center u2013 Mission Critical business. This role can be based in Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; Raleigh, NC; or Smyrna, GA, and will lead local sales initiatives throughout the Southeast region. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who reside outside a 50-mile radius of these locations. What youu2019ll do: The Regional Sales Director - Mission Critical will lead the activities of the region toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer service levels. You will be responsible for the strategic management of regional sales resources to achieve sales/orders, market share, price, product mix, and financial metrics established by product divisions, operating divisions and Sales Leadership. You will be responsible for defining, leading and managing comprehensive sales initiatives & programs affecting the organization and its key stakeholders (customers, distributors, partners, employees, and trade and business media). You will drive collaboration across the Eaton Data Center segment, Commercial Construction and End Users which includes the following organizations within Eaton: Power Quality products and services, Eaton Power Distribution Assemblies, Commercial Products Assemblies, Engineering Services and Power Systems Division, to drive growth of the entire Eaton portfolio. The role will also work very closely with other peers across the verticals within the region to help define sales strategies and go to market of the solutions offered. Essential Functions: u2022 Act a sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales objectives are met. u2022 Responsible for providing strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers. u2022 Develop an annual strategic plan and annual budget. u2022 Keep current on trends and significant issues providing direction for the strategic planning process, ensure the region maintains effective relationships with and service to customers. u2022 Work effectively with customer and Channel Partners within the region while maintaining relationships with the key decision makers. u2022 Review monthly forecasts and partner with the different finance/accounting department to ensure the stablished numbers are met. u2022 Lead and develop the sales team to ensure growth for the business and the team members. u2022 Maintain budgetary responsibility for the territory. Manage sales teams throughout assigned region to ensure the effective allocation of company resources and assets. u2022 Advise senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommend strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures. u2022 Work closely with product divisions to implement strategies focused on the geographic, customer, industry, and market needs. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution u2022 Minimum 10 years of sales or marketing experience u2022 Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager of people u2022 Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree in a technical field u2022 MBA u2022 Minimum of 12 years of sales or marketing experience. u2022 Experience being a leader of leaders u2022 Direct sales experience in the electrical industry u2022 Prior P&L experience u2022 Knowledge of data center sales process including products, application and complex channels of distribution u2022 Experience in an indirect sales model with agents and distribution Skills: u2022 Strong management of people skills, talent selection and recruitment, demonstrated ability to manage conflict and leadership skills required u2022 Providing developing opportunities for employees u2022 Strong interpersonal skills u2022 Strong team player that actively contributes to the group's success u2022 Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills u2022 Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload u2022 Must be able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $183,750.00 - $269,500.00. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
