Full-time Temp. Orchard Park. Manpower Inc. Valve Technician $20.00/Hour. Position Summary The Valve Technician is responsible for the assembly and testing of safety relief valves. This role supports production and engineering teams by ensuring valves meet performance and quality standards. Essential Functions Assemble valves according to procedures. Set up and operate specialized test equipment for high-pressure valve products. Conduct functional testing and record results. Compare test results to specifications and adjust valves to meet order requirements. Maintain and repair testing and shop equipment. Support engineering with valve and subcomponent testing. Assist in building and testing valve prototypes. Perform VR repairs per applicable procedures. Document all test results and ensure compliance with customer and company standards. Troubleshoot valve failures and perform peer inspections. Qualifications Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 23 years of experience in a manufacturing or testing environment. Preferred: Post-secondary coursework in pressure testing techniques. Safety and quality training. Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval. Strong attention to detail and procedural compliance. Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers. Problem-solving skills. Organizational Expectations Safety: Identifies and addresses hazardous situations to maintain a safe work environment. Quality: Ensures high-quality output and communicates issues effectively. Teamwork: Collaborates respectfully to achieve goals. Accountability: Takes responsibility for actions and contributes to organizational effectiveness. Frequently: Use hands for handling tools and equipment. Perform repetitive motions. Bend or twist body during equipment operation. Sit for extended periods. Communicate verbally. Moderate to Occasional: Lift up to 50 pounds. Walk through the facility.
