Amentum is seeking a Top Secret cleared, technically experienced and solutions-driven MS Teams Voice Engineer (Mid) to join our team of passionate individuals in Washington, DC . In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nationu2019s security and intelligence mission. You will lead the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Microsoft Teams Voice solutions in a secure, enterprise environment spanning over 800 sites. This role involves hands-on technical work, solution development, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Session Border Controllers (SBCs). The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex telephony environments, supporting integration with enterprise workflows, and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. This is an on-site role in Washington, D.C. with up to 25% travel. Responsibilities: u2022 Enterprise Deployment: Lead implementation and support of Microsoft Teams Voice services across 800+ locations, including dial plan design, SBC configuration, and integration with Operator Connect and Direct Routing. u2022 Voice System Optimization: Configure and maintain advanced Teams Voice features such as e911, call queues, auto-attendants, voicemail, and number management. u2022 Infrastructure Monitoring & Maintenance: Conduct infrastructure health checks and apply software, firmware, and security updates to telephony systems and components. u2022 Testing & Lab Support: Manage development/test lab environments to validate VoIP devices and Analog Telephone Adapters (ATAs). u2022 Workflow & System Integration: Integrate Teams telephony with enterprise systems, service desks, and ITSM workflows to support business continuity. u2022 Security Compliance: Apply and maintain STIGs, manage vulnerability scanning and remediation, and ensure PKI and certificate validity. u2022 Monitoring & Reporting: Use monitoring tools and dashboards to track uptime, performance, and usage trends; generate reports for stakeholders. u2022 Incident Response & Tier 3 Support: Serve as the escalation point for complex telephony issues, working collaboratively across IT, security, and operations teams. u2022 Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Support junior engineers and staff through documentation, peer reviews, and technical guidance. Requirements: u2022 Active Top Secret clearance with willingness to obtain SCI access and pass a poly ability to obtain access to SCI (poly will be required) u2022 U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship) u2022 Possess a valid U.S. driveru2019s license u2022 Pass a criminal background check u2022 Minimum of 8 yearsu2019 experience in enterprise telephony or unified communications, with direct experience supporting Microsoft Teams Phone System u2022 Work onsite 5/days week in Washington D.C. with up to 25% travel u2022 Proficient in PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Teams Admin Center, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center. u2022 Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. u2022 Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Teams Voice technologies: Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), SIP/VoIP routing and dial plan design. u2022 Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related IT Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience Clearance Required: u2022 Active Top Secret clearance with willingness to obtain SCI access and pass a polygraph ability to obtain access to SCI (poly will be required) Minimum Education: u2022 Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related IT Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience Minimum Years of Experience: u2022 Minimum of 8 yearsu2019 experience in enterprise telephony or unified communications, with direct experience supporting Microsoft Teams Phone System Preferred: u2022 Experience migrating from legacy PBX to Microsoft Teams Voice. u2022 Familiarity with government cybersecurity compliance frameworks (e.g., STIGs, FISMA, NIST). u2022 Experience with integrating Teams Voice with third-party systems or services. u2022 Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate (or equivalent) #javelin Pay Transparency Verbiage Amentumu2019s health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and in the things you care about. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
