Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your nextgreat careermove!Primary Duties:Performs and/orassistsin all angiographic and interventional imaging procedures as well as myelography, arthrography and venography.Prepares and positionspatientsandoperates/monitors imaging devices during procedures. Utilizes immobilization devices and radiation protective measures during the operation of imaging equipment.Evaluates radiographs for technical accuracy and quality. Assures that studies are properlyidentifiedand filed in patient film jackets.Verifies the procedure(s) performed asindicatedby the physician on the superbill.Utilizes physical assessment skills, monitoring devices (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, EKG), intravenous care and aseptic techniques inprovidingpatient pletes required quality control and quality assurance records, and summarizes servicesrenderedfor statistical reports.Ensures that supply levels in the procedure rooms areadequate andnotifies the individual responsible for ordering replenishment stock whenappropriate.Takes call on a rotating basis, for afterhours/weekend coverage.Qualifications:Associatedegreeor​1+ yearsformal training in an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology.4+months ofjob-relatedexperience in the performance of angiography and other complex radiological examinations.American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination and be ARRT certified. This position has a hiring range of : USD $35.68 - USD $58.84 /Hr.
