Paint Quality Technician (1st and 3rd shifts)

What you will do: As a Quality Technician 1, you will inspect the quality of painted components, repair minor defects and flag major defects for repair and perform root cause analysis to investigate quality issues. You will follow lean manufacturing, continuous improvement idea reporting, waste elimination and standard work to problem solve and complete job tasks. You will gather data and produce reports for calibration analysis and review. What you have: Prior powder coat paint experience Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods Ability to perform repetitive operations Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Top candidates will also have: Experience in top coat, prime coat and electrostatic paint and related defects identification Ability to read blueprints / engineering drawings Experience in a quality discipline Experience operating inspection equipment and gauges Experience in data collection and report creation What you will get: You have a lot to offer, so we offer a commitment in return to you as a professional - and as a person. We offer competitive wages, quarterly bonus, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, RX, and 401K) paid holidays, paid time off and paid training that begin on day one of employment! 1 st Shift: $19.35 / hour Monday-Thursday 4 day/10-hour shift schedule Ten-hour shift beginning at 11 a.m. (The 11 a.m. shift receives the 8%-night shift premium.) 3rd Shif t: $20.89 / hour (includes 8%-night shift premium) Sunday-Friday 5 day/8-hour shift schedule Eight-hour shift beginning at 3 a.m. **Role requires overtime as needed to support business needs** Caterpillar will provide a cash sign-on bonus of $750, less applicable withholdings and taxes, to be paid as soon as administratively practical upon completion of your first day of employment.
