Network Engineer

Description The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos currently has openings for a Network Engineer to work in our Orlando, FL office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a Juniper SSR SD-WAN implementation, working with stakeholders to bring new capabilities onto the network, and creating service-based routing to allow for network optimization.Primary Responsibilities.Provide Network Engineering support to include planning, designing, and evaluating specific network architecture.Architect and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Juniper network hardware and software.Develop and manage policies and profiles to optimize application delivery and security.Work with Tier 2 Managers to establish regular monitoring of network devices to ensure optimal performance.Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.Support Classified IT infrastructureProvide technical expertise to resolve networking events, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.Basic Qualifications. Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearanceAble to troubleshoot enterprise applications such as DNS, DHCP, and E-mail.Experience with Cisco or Juniper Routing/SwitchingDesire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal/external teams.Strong written and verbal communications skillsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or a Masters Degree with 3+ years or prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degreePreferred Qualifications. Juniper Certified or Cisco CertifiedRedHat support experience.SD-WAN experiencePrior experience with SAFe Agile implementationPrevious experience working on complex multi-domain systemsExperience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolioExperience with design of Cloud and Edge Computing and NetworkIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
