Schedule: Monday-Thursday.6 hours/day.Flexible start time between3:00 PM and Midnight Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler: oCompares identifying information and counts , weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. oAffixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. oAssembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. oInsert items into containers. oNails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape. oStamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. oPosts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. oExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. oMaintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies. oOperates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. oStudies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules. oInspect shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. oCounts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents for conformance to company specifications. oCompares items packed with customer's orders and other identifying data. Education & Experience Requirements of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler: Assemble wooden or cardboard containers, or select preassembled containers Insert items into containers with care and accuracy Nail covers onto wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
