Job details Spherion VT is recruiting for a Trailer Technician for our client in Milton, VT. You will have the opportunity to ensure the safety of their trailers by performing monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections of all trailers at the assigned location. This position must be able to work independently but will be supported by the Maintenance team for more complex projects. ... Responsibilities:1. Uses checklists in Manager + to conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections of trailers including settings, gauges, roof conditions and placarding.2. Conducts Preventive Maintenance on trailers using Manager + Trailers Back logs and schedules due weekly report, conduct monthly inspections to 90% completion on a monthly basis.3. Repairs any leaks on trailers.4. Each morning closes out work orders that were completed the previous day.5. Coordinates inspection with operations teams and The Pembroke and Springville Compressor station technicians ensure trailer availability is adequate to meet the demand of daily operations.Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMSkills:Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:1. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma required. One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must have: (1) proven proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; (2) a track record of punctuality, reliability and dependability; (3) a track record of mechanical skills and knowledge ; (4) the ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing; (5) the ability to follow detailed instructions, carry out tasks and learn new programs and methods for completing the assigned work; (6) the ability to exercise mature judgment; and (7) the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.2. LANGUAGE: Ability to read, and comprehend procedure, technical procedures and safety manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, and clients.3. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills including arithmetic, algebra and geometry. Ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions in developing schedules and troubleshooting problems.4. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and act on a variety of instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Able to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.5.
