The CI Specialist will help establish a continuous improvement culture and will help coordinate and lead small to mid-size cross-functional/department initiatives.Responsibilities:Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reductionPlanning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma toolsTeaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologyWorking to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions such as logisticsClearly defining program objectives and scopeEvaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on gains and required effortSecuring employee commitment (ex: process managers) for proactive change managementEstablishing a clear and well-articulated implementation planEstablishing criteria for the project’s success and preparing a sound statement of constraints/limiting factorsAppropriately implementing principles of governanceResolving technical problems such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availabilityIdentifying intervention priorities and indicatorsConducting detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issuesSpecifying deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicatorsIdentifying available resources (for example, people, material, and finances)Mapping out in detail the desired situationClearly defining methodologyAccurately analyzing options including impact and feasibilitySpecifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvementRegularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefitsYour Profile / QualificationsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in business or industrial engineeringQuality improvement certification such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Green Belt, preferred3-5 years’ related experience in manufacturing industry or 5-10+ years' experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.Strong Experience in project management, including experience leading cross-functional teams.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Visio and SharePoint, strongly preferred.Experience with blueprints and diagrams preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail orientedThe typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $67,184.00 - $75,771.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
