GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.The Test Engineer will work closely with Process/Sales Engineers, the Senior Biotechnologist, the New Food Technical Director and the Test Center Manager to develop test equipment configuration and test plans to demonstrate the ability of our process equipment to meet customer requirements. This position requires working in the ATC team environment where interaction between groups is process driven to achieve on time performance and customer satisfaction. This position is highly hands-on and requires a mechanical aptitude to not only plan the equipment set-up but also make the adjustments and modifications to the equipment.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Monitor the operation of pilot plant equipment in conformance with test requirements (bioreactors, fermenters, thermal processing systems (UHT), vacuum mixers, dryers, membrane filtration, aseptic processes, special equipment, utility systems, etc.) making appropriate adjustments per test requirementsMonitor/repair/assemble test station equipment as directedClean pilot plant and its equipment to maintain good operating orderAssist in preparing shipping requests, recording shipments, documenting inventory of plant consumables and safety equipmentExperimental planning, including reconfiguration of equipment and Tech Transfer from customers, to conduct tests/experiments.
