Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA. This position offers:Full-time Position (Government contractor)Monday - Friday 0730AM-0430PM hoursHealth insurance, PTO, 11 paid holidays off, and 401K benefits offeredResponsibilities:Nexplanon insertion and removal and colposcopy proceduresObtain and document a relevant health history, including a comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic history, with emphasis on gender-based differences.Perform and document complete, system, or symptom-directed physical examinations on women, including gynecologic conditions/needs that include, but are not limited to, benign and malignant gynecologic conditions, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, infertility, perimenopause/menopause/postmenopause and other gender-specific illnesses.Identify gynecologic deviations from normal, formulate a diagnosis, collaborate, and/or refer as necessary.Order screening and diagnostic procedures and interpret test results, including, but not limited to, ultrasound and mammography as well as age-appropriate primary care screens.Job Requirements:Masters Degree from an OB/GYN or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program or Certified Nurse Midwife programActive NP LicenseActive BLS certificationMinimum of 6 months of clinical practice in the last 12 monthsNational Certification Corporation (NCC) for Obstetrics, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties or American Midwidery Certificaiton BoardCompany Overview: At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
