NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting Goldey Beacom College's Athletic Programs on a PRN basis.This is a great opportunity to work in the D-II setting with an outstanding Sports Medicine Team made up of Athletic Trainers, Sports Physical Therapists, a Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Sports Medicine Physicians. All of these team members will be on-site to provide you additional resources needed to be successful in this role.This position has the opportunity to work with the entire Athletic Program- 14 varsity sports in all.Position: Certified Athletic TrainerLocation: Goldey Beacom College-4701 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808Type of Employment: Per Diem/PRNSchedule: Hours Vary as neededCompensation: Starting at $40.00/hr , commensurate with experienceWhy Join Us:Industrywide unmatched continuing education (CEU) program with unlimited access to CEU courses, national certifications, and more. Free for ATCs!Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of careManage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degreeNational Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of CertificationCPR/AED certificationApplicable state license where requiredPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degreePrior Collegiate Athletic Training ExperienceEqual Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
