Litigation Attorney

Description We are looking for a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in Pasadena, California. This role involves managing a variety of litigation cases, providing expert legal counsel, and successfully navigating complex legal disputes. Candidates with experience in civil and employment law will be particularly well-suited for this position, as they will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services. Responsibilities: u2022 Represent clients in various civil litigation matters, including trials, motions, depositions, and discovery processes. u2022 Offer strategic legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring clarity on case outcomes and options. u2022 Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and develop compelling arguments. u2022 Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions, and briefs. u2022 Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases to ensure thorough and timely service delivery. u2022 Communicate and negotiate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials to advance case objectives. u2022 Facilitate settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution proceedings when appropriate. u2022 Remain informed on litigation trends and developments in employment law to maintain a competitive edge. u2022 Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Active membership in a state bar association, in good standing. u2022 A minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling litigation cases, particularly in civil or employment law. u2022 Strong knowledge of employment law, including matters such as discrimination claims, wage disputes, and wrongful termination. u2022 Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. u2022 Proven ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice and resolve disputes efficiently. u2022 Experience working independently and collaboratively in a law firm or legal department setting. u2022 Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and discovery documents with attention to accuracy and effectiveness.
