Litigation Attorney

Description Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Walnut Creek, California. The ideal candidate will work on high-profile cases, including catastrophic personal injury, products liability, and general negligence, representing Fortune 500 companies. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex litigation matters and collaborate with a team of skilled legal professionals. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses and experts to gather critical case information. u2022 Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents for complex litigation cases. u2022 Prepare and respond to discovery requests to ensure thorough case preparation. u2022 Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear and precise communication. u2022 Manage trial preparation, including drafting motions in limine, creating exhibit lists, and organizing witness lists. u2022 Handle high-stakes cases involving catastrophic personal injury, products liability, and general negligence. u2022 Collaborate with team members to strategize and execute effective litigation plans. u2022 Represent clients in court by arguing motions and presenting evidence. u2022 Conduct legal research to support case strategy and decision-making. u2022 Provide guidance to less experienced attorneys and staff as needed. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 5 years' experience in asbestos or toxic tort litigation. u2022 Juris Doctor degree from an accredited and highly regarded law school. u2022 Active license to practice law in the state of California. u2022 Proven ability to thrive in a billable work environment with strict deadlines. u2022 Exceptional written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in civil litigation, including depositions, motions, and trial preparation. u2022 Self-driven and highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering quality work. u2022 Experience managing high-exposure cases, including personal injury and products liability.
