Description 1-2 rounds of interview Onsite 3 days per week in Sunnyvale, CA or NYC MUST HAVES: u2022 Extremely proficient with NX CAD with prior experience working with complex ID surfaces u2022 Ability to deliver strong technical communication verbally, in written and presentation form as needed u2022 Previous experience working on consumer electronics u2022 Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required NICE TO HAVES: u2022 Experience working for a major West Coast consumer electronics company and familiarity with related product cycles u2022 Experience working on soft goods or textiles u2022 Experience with mechanical test and inspection equipment such as Instron, microscopes, OMM, temperature and humidity chambers u2022 Experience with prototyping equipment such as 3DP, laser cutter, heating elements, adhesives dispense/activation, soldering Day to day: Expedient delivery of 3D and 2D in a PLM environment is the sole responsibility of this role. Summary: The primary responsibility of a mechanical engineer in this role is to assist team members with creating and documenting 3D and 2D designs within a PLM environment. The engineer may also support hands-on tasks such as rapid prototyping, fixture development, and mechanical testing Backfill for CW who left earlier than expected to help team get through key program milestones Job Responsibilities: Expedient delivery of 3D and 2D in a PLM environment 3 days in-office and lab work in NYC to include prototype assembly and rework, fixture development, and mechanical testing Support hands-on tasks such as rapid prototyping, fixture development, and mechanical testing Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.
