Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Suffern, New York. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of transactions. Your expertise in bookkeeping and financial systems will contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking income and expenses. u2022 Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. u2022 Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks software to manage and update accounting information. u2022 Handle vendor invoices and payments through platforms such as Ariba. u2022 Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. u2022 Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. u2022 Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with Ariba or similar vendor management platforms. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and vendors. u2022 Ability to adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
