Spray Painter - 1st shift

Madison Heights based Decor Manufacturing and installation company is seeking an experienced Sign Spray Painter to join their busy 1st shift. Core responsibilities include: Paint letters, numbers, signs, and other décor items with a hand-held pneumatic spray gun. Spray paint wood, metal, plastic, and foam décor components. Use proper paint and primer for each type of material. Check finished product for quality before it leaves paint area. Maintain a clean work area, clean/change filters as needed. Keep floor clear of debris. Ability to clean and maintain spray guns. Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor. Location: Madison Heights, MI Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; OT, as required, during the week and Saturdays Pay: $19-21/hr. Based on experience Position Type: Full time, Evaluation Hire, long term Qualifications: 3 + years’ experience using gravity-fed sprayers. Having a general understanding of signage and graphics materials, substrates, and manufacturing processes is preferred. Willingness to work flexible and overtime hours is required. Some Saturdays are required, and OT in excess of 50 hours during the months of March-November is required. Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude. Fast-paced work environment, must have a sense of urgency along with quality work. Strong comprehension and analytical abilities. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions.
