Job Summary Searching for someone with experience operating large Horizontal Mill &/or Vertical Lathes.u00a0 Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, vertical lathes, drill press and surface grinder.u00a0 Perform all operations necessary to produce parts to exact tolerances for products or equipment.u00a0 Check work for conformity to specifications use of precision measuring equipment.u00a0 Must be able to read complex drawings.u00a0 Employee will work with mechanics as required to complete parts machining. Responsibilities and Duties + Read technical instructions, blueprints, and sketches for the repair / fabrication of parts and or machinery. + Install or repair machinery, equipment and parts + Adjust and align moving parts + Replace defective parts of machinery as needed. + Fabricate parts using lathes, mills, etc. as needed + Coordinate with Shop Supervisor to plan and complete general assignment Qualifications and Skills + High School Diploma or Equivalent + Machinist Certification or Millwright Apprenticeship. + Machiningu00a05+ years Knowledge Must be able to read and write English.u00a0 Must have thorough knowledge in the preparation of and use of mills, lathes and manual machines.u00a0 Must be capable of machining and fabricating parts per blueprints, BOM, and sketches.u00a0 Must be able to hold to tight tolerances per print specifications.u00a0 Able to read and interpret blueprints.u00a0 Must be knowledgeable in assembling parts, machining, quality control and safety.u00a0 Thorough understanding of all company safety and environmental practices.u00a0 Strong quality focus.u00a0 Strong team player.u00a0 Must be reliable, dependable, able to work overtime as required and work under minimal supervision. Requires strong math skills:u00a0 add, subtract, multiply, divide, algebra.u00a0 Must be able to read various micu2019s to hold to tolerances as required., and to interact with Front Officesu00a0 Competencies Works Safely Quality Sense of Urgency Results Driven Team Player Physical Requirements Prolonged Standing Walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, twisting Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
