The Vehicle Systems and Engineering Team (VSET) Business Office is responsible for establishing, tracking and ultimately delivering the budgets and headcount required to support the Propulsion Systems Engineering (PSE), Vehicle Evaluation and Verification (VEV), Vehicle Hardware and Engineering Systems (VHES), Six-Sigma and Vehicle Control Operations (VCO) teams. Additionally, the VSET Business office manages the central processes and initiatives at the director level that ensure the business continues to operate in a defined, cost-effective and efficient manner. This Business Analyst will focus his/her efforts on the processes, tools and data related to these core central processes, as well as ensuring the functional needs are accurately captured in the cycle plan. These processes ultimately require the business office to fully understand the needs of the activities we support in order to represent VSET accurately. **In this position...** The analyst will be responsible for a variety of business support tasks, including: + Acting as lead for Global VSET initiatives, including: + Establishing aligned objectives, as well as generating quarterly status / performance updates. + Delivering functional Audits, including annual internal MCRP + Coordinating of All-Hands meetings, large functional reviews as needed + Delivering weekly approval processes (eg overtime, travel), including data analyses / reporting to ensure consistent, disciplined adherence by the functions + Coordinating functional transfers + Providing support of VSET Strategic paper development (eg 5-year Vision) + Leading other central initiatives as needed + Data mining to support the needs of the business office, VSET teams + Interfacing with VSET activities to ensure accuracy of data + Establishing / updating existing processes to ensure accuracy of data while maintaining an efficient operation. + Utilizing available tools (ELMS) to streamline data acquisition, storage and reporting processes, or in some cases creating new tools. **What you'll do...** As VSET operations are driven by the cycle plan of record, this position will also work with key personnel to consistently evaluate the cycle plan for containability, identify and then correct critical disconnects across the VSET functions. This task will drive additional responsibilities, including: + Generating workload vs actual/target comparisons for the VSET teams / regions + Working closely with the Finance and Planning teams to establish a process to address disconnects in funding levels. + Working closely with the VSET functions to better align the CP / models to their operations. + Ensuring accuracy of PD TimeTracker entries and using this datain a closed loop process. **You'll have...** + BS in Finance or Accounting + Demonstrated Ability to Effectively Analyze large amounts of data + High levels of organization and relentless attention to detail + High level of Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables + High level of Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, both on a technical and creative basis. + Ability to consolidate large amounts of data into a simplified, impactful presentation. **Even better, you may have...** + Experience with monthly tracking and reporting (preferably with headcount and/or budgets). + Experience with coordinating cascading team goals / objectives. + Strong Drive to deliver process improvements, and a proven ability to streamline processes.
