Utility Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description:Mars Horsecare- Dalton, OH is looking for a Utility Operator!Required Shift:Monday- Friday 7am- 3pm (flexible pending business needs)Job Purpose:The Utility Operator provides flexible coverage across multiple production roles at our manufacturing site, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient operations. This role requires training and competency in various operator positions, adaptability to changing daily assignments.What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience in a mechanical related roleHands on Fork lift experienceBasic computer skills (Ex: MS Office)Physical Requirements:Frequent lifting/carrying (10-100 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-2,000 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hoursCapable of working in hot, cold and wet conditionsProficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.Preferred Qualifications:Technical degree or certification in related fieldForklift CertificationPrevious manufacturing experienceAnimal feed or food production experienceWhat will be your key responsibilities?Operate all areas of the plant and ensure safe, efficient, and quality production.Utilize forklifts to transport production throughout the production floor and warehouses.Ensure all work meets Quality and Food Safety standards.Follow all safety practices, procedures, and trainings consistently.Assist with sanitation and preventive maintenance (PM) of each departmentProvide reliable coverage as needed across departmentsAny ad hoc requestsTotal Rewards:Pay:Based on experience starting at $22.25+ /HROvertime:Potential for overtimeBonuses:Annual bonus payout and annual merit increasesBenefits:Medical, vision, and dental coverage starting day oneRetirement:Up to 6% 401K matchLeave:Vacation time and 18 weeks parental leaveAdditional:Tuition reimbursement and short/long-term disability
