PGB wants a growth-oriented professional who aspires for efficiency while evaluating, planning, and executing on automation of the benefit analyst group to ensure that the organization is positioned for future growth.This is a hybrid position, based out of the Holly Springs NC office. How you'll make an impactProvide support to Sales and Operations for existing and prospective clients by monitoring and analyzing new benefit trends and their implicationsMake recommendations based on analysis to internal departments for presentation to clientsProvide technical expertise related to financial or program analysisAnalyze medical benefit plan characteristics for new business and renewal customersAnalyze group risk and project future claims utilizing established underwriting criteria and policies to apply proper rating methodologiesPrice standard and custom benefit plansNegotiate rates and plan options to optimize cost-competitive medical benefit plansRun core product quotes, obtain, and summarizing plan data from carriers, negotiate discounts and rate guaranteesComplete renewal plan and cost summary exhibits for all productsReview claim reports and prepare executive summaries and renewal forecastsDevelop Excel spreadsheet for projects and processes including, but not limited to, renewal forecastingPrepare sales summary recommendationsCultivate insurance carrier relationshipsPrepare, distribute, and evaluate carrier proposals and marketing materialsOrder benefit summaries and verify accuracy of sold plansFollow company procedures concerning all essential duties and responsibilitiesParticipate in new product development committeeDocument processes for the various levels in the department in a centralized locationCollaborate with other company managers to implement and assess procedures, evaluate efficiencies, and propose new initiativesMaintain valid insurance licensesOther duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. About YouRequired: Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required. Excellent knowledge of the insurance brokerage business. Preferred:3+ years of group health insurance experience as a Benefits Analyst, for an insurance- related companyNC Life and Health License requiredValid insurance Tech savvy: ability to learn multiple Advanced skills in Microsoft Office productsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and Able to travelBehaviors: Strong people and process management experience.Exceptional analytical and math skillsGoal-driven, organized, multi-tasker Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package.
