This position offers fully remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities may be required if you are located near a CHA office.Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for electric distribution infrastructure, including above-ground and below-ground assetsProvide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of electric distributionLead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions that enhance grid resiliency and energy efficiencyDevelop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraintsGuide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and supportDeliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agenciesBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering requiredMinimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredExpert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices across various areas such as protection coordination with SEL devices, power quality, Volt-VAR optimization, and distribution studiesAdvanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Synchrowave event analysis, CYME, etc.)Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering lawsDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredServe as a technical leader within the Electric Distribution discipline, leading challenging projects that drive innovation and technical excellenceMake a measurable impact while mentoring the next generation of engineering talentFlexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travelCurious about the impactful work our Electric Distribution team is doing?
