Accounting Manager

BrightSpring Health ServicesThis Accounting Manager position is responsible for accounting activities related to Month-end Close and financial reporting, account analysis and documentation for BrightSpring Health Services Home Health and Hospice division operations with special emphasis on Joint Venture operations.Manages accounting and month end close procedures for group of joint venture home health operationsManages monthly entries for non-controlling entries in consolidationReconciles management fees and intercompany expensesProvides ad hoc reporting for partnersAssists with quarterly, and annual audit requirementsReviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual itemsPrepares and reviews business line specific accruals and journal entriesOversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and dataEvaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organizationMaintains relationships with internal and external auditorsEnsures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records monthlyCommunicates key information to managementSupervises accounting staff and directs work of othersRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsBachelor’s degree in accounting required5-8 years in accounting, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role requiredCPA preferredKnowledge of general accounting and US GAAP requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills requiredExcellent computer skills including Excel, Word and related accounting software requiredOutstanding financial reporting and analytical skills requiredKnowledge of internal and external audit requirements requiredAbility to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment requiredKnowledge of Oracle preferredKnowledge of healthcare accounting preferredTravel up to 25%BrightSpring Health Services provides complementary home- and community-based pharmacy and provider health solutions for complex populations in need of specialized and/or chronic care.
