Staff Accountant

As a General Accountant responsibilities includes daily credit card and cash/check bank reconciliations, research discrepancies, record journal entries, prepare monthly Balance Sheet account analyses. Reports to the Manager of General Accounting.Daily clearing of General Ledger for credit cards and bank account transactionsPrepare month-end bank account reconciliationsPrepare month-end Balance Sheet account analysesResearch discrepancies, investigate and oversee open bank items, identify and resolve issuesPrepare journal entries related to credit card fees and bank transactionsSupport unclaimed property processSupport month-end processMakes decisions within the level of expertise and consults with manager as appropriate Makes timely decisions based on analysis that impact multiple areas and/or functionsEvaluates decisions to ensure various perspectives and impacts have been properly addressed Is capable of working independently with limited supervisionComplete special projects (as required - upon request)$53,287 - $65,000 per year (dependent on experience)Why join the Suburban Propane team?
