Supervisor - Fixed Assets

The Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing the Fixed Assets Department. This position will manage and maintain the company’s Fixed Assets Subledger and General Ledger, while leading, developing, and supporting a team of three Staff Accountants.Monitoring and reviewing all account analyses related to Fixed AssetsReviewing capital expenditure submissions and tracking budgeted vs. actual expenditures for appropriate accounting treatmentOverseeing the capitalization process of Fixed Assets and the process for asset sales and retirementsCollaborating with Field Operations to ensure proper accounting treatment of operating expenses and capital expendituresPreparing monthly and quarterly Fixed Asset analyses to support internal and external reportingPreparing budgets and forecasts for capital expendituresSupporting the semi-annual inventory processManaging the tank refurbishment and exchange processOverseeing spend tracking for Software as a Service (SaaS) projectsPreparing and reviewing journal entries related to Fixed AssetsCollaborating with Tank Assets, Fleet, and Real Estate departmentsLeading automation and special projects as they ariseWhy join the Suburban Propane team?
