Brookside Veterinary Clinic, a high quality, 3 doctor practice located in Auburn, NY is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team. Our goal is to provide the finest quality care over the lifetime of our patients, and to establish a permanent bond between our clients and our amazing staff. As one of our amazing Veterinary Assistant’s, your responsibilities will be assisting veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with:Patient restraint. We practice fear-free techniques.Taking appointments into exam rooms and obtaining patient history.Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.Re-stocking exam rooms and treatment area.Cleaning exam rooms, dog runs/cages and cat cages.Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kennel and hospital.You would also assist reception staff with:Answering phone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.Utilizing a computer information system to schedule appointments and record patient history.Checking in patients for exams.Processing client payments.Top priority will be given to applicants with previous veterinary experience.
