The EHS Stewardship Leader and Learning Facilitator is a core member of the Flake Leadership Team, responsible for driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the Flake Unit at the Celanese Narrows, VA site. This role promotes a strong safety culture, ensures safe and efficient operations, and supports daily execution aligned with company standards.Stewardship & Safety LeadershipLead stewardship performance and culture within the unitEnsure adherence to Life Critical policies and regulatory complianceIdentify risks, lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and drive issue resolutionConduct field assessments and audits (e.g., LOTO, SOPs, PSI)Monitor safety/environmental KPIs and implement risk-reduction plansFacilitate stewardship training and mentor core team membersSupport Conduct of Operations (ConOps), Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management System Reviews (MSR), and behavior-based safety reviewsQuality AlignmentIntegrate product quality into stewardship practicesIdentify quality risks during field activities and reviewsSupport CAPA execution and SOP compliancePromote operating discipline to maintain product integrityProduction & Reliability SupportEmbed stewardship into 24/7 operations and maintenanceCollaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to ensure safe, efficient job executionFoster proactive issue identification and equipment reliabilityTeam Engagement & LeadershipModel visible leadership and positive team cultureMentor and develop team members on stewardship and leadership behaviorsLead the 24/7 Stewardship Facilitator group for consistency and alignmentPromote open communication, recognition, and continuous feedbackLearning FacilitatorEnsure 24/7 Teams are effectively using unit procedures, best practices are implemented, and incident learnings are applied to prevent drift.Knowledge of process, product and equipment to effectively develop and execute training programs.Train personnel to have skill and knowledge to perform their role with maximum effectiveness.Field evaluation of procedure usage as defined by SQRE planContinuously monitor and test the application of technical knowledge in field and process activities.Identify potential training gaps and develop action plans to correct deviations.Execute operational training alongside core trainers.Responsible for implementation and development technical training for knowledge transfer and personnel development.Responsible for keeping the SOP, EOP, and CONOPS material updated.Maintain training record documentation in accordance with retention policies.5+ years of experience in manufacturing or comparable industry settingsStrong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsHigh resilience, sound judgment, and ability to perform under pressureStrategic thinker with a passion for safety and operational excellenceTechnically adept with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindsetBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Operations, Engineering, or a related technical field preferredRelevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CMRP) are a strong plus
