As a people leader, they foster a strong workplace culture, providing guidance and coaching to operators in a health, safety, and environmentally responsible manner. With deep technical knowledge of operations, they oversee employee training, supervision, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standardsThe role of Operations Supervisor is structured as a full-time position, working 5 days a week, 40-hours, with the potential for overtime depending on role requirements and deadlines.Leading the day-to-day activities of operations and the operations staffServing as a people leader by setting clear expectations, managing operator performance, and providing feedback to develop high-performing teams in alignment with SECURE’s values and expectations.Completing progressions and performance reviews with the operatorsAccessible and available to the operators to assist with afterhours issuesFostering an environment that promotes the Vision and Culture of the organizationLeading the safety culture, specifically aiding in the development and delivery of programs and initiativesEnsuring compliance with safety practices and proceduresEnsuring consistent, cost-effective, and technically sound operationsDeveloping and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring that they are being upheld through training, coaching and leadership oversightEnsuring compliance with all government and environmental regulatory standardsEnsuring excellent customer service standardsEvaluating Key Performance Indicators to achieve targets and determine required actions for improvementCollaborating with other Operations Leaders (Facility Managers, General Managers) and Support teams to share and implement best practicesPlays a critical role in supporting the Facility Manager including taking on delegation duties from Facility Manager when applicable and collaborating with support groupsGrade 12 or General Education Diploma (GED) educationA valid Class 5 driver’s licenseA minimum of 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following: waste processing, oil treating and/or water injection, landfill operations (specific to landfills), or relative industry experienceValid industry safety ticketsStrong attention to detail and ability to provide effective leadership and guidance to staffExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare technical reportsProficient with company applications and Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OSI PI, Power BI, MOC, Sharepoint, Certify, Open Invoice, UltiPro, iTRAK and Solver)At SECURE, we prioritize growth and improvement for our employees, customers, partners, and communities.
