The Production Engineering Department is made up of twogroups:Process Engineering (supporting assembly lines/areas) and Project Engineering. AProject Engineerdesignsandmodifiesmaterials,assemblies,and final productsin allnon-refrigeration related areas to meet customerand internalneeds. Project Engineersalsocompletea variety ofengineeringprojectwork thatalsoincludes newmachine acquisitions that improve the efficiency of our production areas.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Help design, test, and manufacture premium consumer cooking products.Assistwithqualityimprovements,refreshes, facelifts, and new product development.Interface cross-functionallyto ensureproduct designis consumer focusedand designed for manufacturing.Ability toexecute test plans to create products compliant withregulatory requirements for consumercooking.Develop production processes andabove-and-beyond testing specifically for premium consumer cookingproducts.Be part of a crossfunctional teamthatworks tobestutilizeinternalresources.Assistwith developingand deliveringproduction design projectsand capital improvement projectsfrom start-up throughimplementation.Apply Lean principles to new processes and production areas.Deliver quality engineering solutions to internal and external customers.Work with suppliers to develop solutions, quotes,and return on investment for various projects.Ability to study processes, conduct timestudiesand use informationto developimprovements.Create and update production area layouts using ACAD/DraftSight and SolidWorks for design work.Design,develop, andimplementnew assembly lines and areas.Work with allfacetsof production and various degrees of skill sets to achieve a common goal.Develop process work instructions for new equipment and/or new procedures.Liaison between customers and workers from different specialty disciplinesDevelop ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and production flexibility.Collect, compile,andanalyzedata on manufacturing processestoidentifyopportunities to improve production processes.Develop ergonomic improvementsfor manufacturing processesas needed.Occasional Travel domestically and internationally as needed.Bachelor’s degree in engineering management, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar field required.Five or more years of related experience required. Consumer appliance experience preferred.Experience developing gas oven cavities and gas surface burners.Experience with electric appliances on hot side.Experience with induction and electric surface elements for indoor and outdoor cooking.Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.Lean experience preferred.Ability to lead people, obtain commitment from team members, and achieve results through others.Positive attitude, team player, open minded, innovative engineer that will support the direction and policies of the Company.Ability to think ahead, set daily and weekly goals, and create action plans to achieve results.Ability to prioritize and multi-task while keeping projects on time.Be the “support” mechanism for the internal customers.Self-motivated, responsible individual that requires minimal direction.Creative thinker - “Idea” person - ability to find/develop own ideas that lead to continuous improvement.Strong time management skills including multitasking, prioritization, forward planning, and adherence to deadlines with minimal supervision.Ability to be assertive and diplomatic when interacting with co-workers.Display a positive attitude and support the direction and policies of the Company.Strong mechanical aptitude.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.Company-paid background check required upon hire.
