Assists in regulatory compliance and survey readiness. Actively interacts with patients, family, and peers and seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores. May provide patient care when necessary.Reports to: Director, Quality and SafetyResponsibilities of the positionAssists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Assists the director in managing staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.Assists the director by making presentations at various meetings including Quality and Safety Committee, New Employee Orientation, and others.May assist the director in monitoring departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Required LicenseCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Minimum Work ExperienceThree (3) to five (5) years diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.Previous performance improvement and/or large-scale project management experience required.Demonstrated progressive leadership skills required.
