Job Summary This role will analyze, develop, implement, and evaluate performance-based technical training for meteringtrainingprograms.Maintain technical subject matterexpertiseand a thorough understanding of current business processes related to the metering organization and will act as a subject matter expert.Additionally, the candidate willbe responsible forproviding expert technical or engineering support, direction,and advice for the development of projects, programs,and engineering products.The successful candidate will consult with business partners to clarify and define work procedures and processestodevelop and documenttheseupdates.Keep abreast of current regulatory initiatives andnew technologyand assess their impact on training and work practices.The successful candidate will investigate safety incidentswhichinvolve metering equipment and/or work practices.Performallother duties as requested or assignedThis position is located in Chester, VA. Relocation assistance may be offered to the successful candidate.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:Instructor: 2+ years of experience plus a Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years of experience plus an Associate's Degree, or 6+ years of experience plus a High School Diploma/GEDSenior Instructor: 5+ years of experience plus a Bachelor's Degree, or 7+ years of experience plus an Associate's Degree, or 9+ years of experience plus a High School Diploma/GEDSuccessful completion ofDominion Energy’sField Meter Worker Training Programand/orexpert knowledgeand experience withCT rated Meters,Complex Meters, andathoroughunderstandingofVector -depth subject matterexpertisein technical area of instruction for meteringThorough understanding of business processes related to areas of instructionIn depth knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional designProficiencyin equipment operation/troubleshootingExcellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing and in class instructionExcellentcomputer skills,problem-solving, time management, and coaching skillsAbility to work well with minimal supervisionAbility to analyze job tasks and develop training materialsas well as train and lead othersAbility tointerface withregulatory personnel and industry peersEducation Requirements Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:BachelorPreferred Discipline(s): EducationOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines(s) listed above.Working Conditions Office Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25% Export Control Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
