Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in the Stanislaus County. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Call or text Edgar Gonzalez 209.395.2259 Responsibilities: u2022 Record and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial data. u2022 Reconcile bank accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. u2022 Oversee fixed asset accounting, including tracking and depreciation calculations. u2022 Maintain the general ledger and ensure alignment with financial reporting standards. u2022 Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits. u2022 Analyze financial records to identify trends and areas for improvement. u2022 Support the team with ad hoc accounting tasks as needed. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in recording and reviewing journal entries. u2022 Experience with general ledger maintenance and reconciliation. u2022 Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation methods. u2022 Ability to perform accurate bank account reconciliations. u2022 Expertise in month-end close procedures and reporting. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
