Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Newman, California. This position will provide support to ensure the smooth operation of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in financial processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Process various types of payments, including utility payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Handle daily cash receipts and maintain organized records. u2022 Balance and reconcile cash drawers and batches to ensure proper financial reporting. u2022 Perform filing duties to maintain a well-organized accounting system. u2022 Deliver exceptional customer service while handling payment-related inquiries. u2022 Conduct data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Collaborate with team members to address any accounting discrepancies. u2022 Support additional accounting tasks as required to meet organizational needs. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in processing payments and managing cash receipts. u2022 Strong skills in balancing and reconciling cash drawers or batches. u2022 Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records. u2022 Excellent customer service abilities, including handling payment inquiries. u2022 Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
