Legal Secretary

Description Robert Half is seeking a Legal Assistant for a busy and growing plaintiff personal injury law firm. This is a full-time, in-office role with an excellent opportunity for long-term growth and advancement. The position is located in Santa Barbara, CA (100% on site) and pays $75,000-$90.000 per year with excellent benefits (100% paid for employee). Key Responsibilities: u2022 E-file documents in both state and federal courts u2022 Draft, edit, and format correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents u2022 Maintain and organize physical and digital client files u2022 Calendar deadlines, hearings, depositions, and appointments u2022 Communicate with clients, courts, insurance adjusters, and medical providers u2022 Prepare case files for depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences u2022 Propound and serve written discovery u2022 Notice and coordinate depositions, mediations, and arbitrations u2022 Assist with trial preparation including trial binders, exhibit lists, and logistics u2022 Coordinate with expert witnesses (scheduling, records, communication, etc.) u2022 Provide general administrative and legal support to attorneys and case managers Requirements Ideal Qualifications: u2022 Experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat u2022 Familiarity with state and federal e-filing systems u2022 Excellent communication and organizational skills u2022 Strong attention to detail and time management u2022 Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
