Payroll Clerk

Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team in White Plains, NY. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time while upholding compliance standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Process payroll for over 300 employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. u2022 Maintain and verify employee payroll records, including hours worked, wages, deductions, and benefits. u2022 Address inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies with efficiency and care. u2022 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations by staying informed of updates. u2022 Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate documentation and reporting. u2022 Assist in payroll reconciliations and prepare year-end tax forms such as W-2s. u2022 Utilize payroll software to streamline operations and improve efficiency. u2022 Support audits and provide documentation as required. u2022 Identify opportunities for improving payroll processes and implement solutions. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience handling payroll for 300 or more employees. u2022 Proficiency in payroll systems; familiarity with software like Paychex is advantageous. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization. u2022 Solid understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. u2022 Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities. u2022 Effective communication skills to manage sensitive employee information. u2022 Capability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy. u2022 Experience with garnishments and other payroll adjustments is a plus.
