Job Description Huck's Tanker Driver CWD JOB DESCRIPTION DRIVER ASSOCIATE 1. Statement of the Job Every full or part time associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her shift, within company policy, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store. 2. The Duties and Responsibilities Are: A. Normal Responsibilities Observes shift operating hours at all times, as assigned by the Supervisor Performs specific tasks as assigned by the Supervisor Ensures Supervisor is made aware of all maintenance, safety or order/product discrepancies Operate company owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations Operate trucks for delivery and pick of product and materials Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations Advises Supervisor of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on warehouse operating performance B Security/Safety Follows company policy with regard to limited access areas and security doors Shares the responsibility for controlling the inventory Makes management aware of any safety issues Maintain and protects company assets at all times in excellent condition Must wear seat belt at all times while operating company owned or leased trucks Wear/use any company provided protective safety equipment/apparel Report all accidents no matter how small Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs General Requirements 1. Transport Drivers, Hiring Policy & Safety Program Our hiring policies are based on the premise that personnel most qualified by experience and physically and mentally sound make the most productive and safest employees. Those who qualify by experience have a successful past employment history and who meet physical and drug screening requirements are subject to being employed. Only those persons who meet the above criteria, as well as the Department of Transportation ( requirements, have a current Commercial Driver License (CDL) with the proper endorsements shall be considered for employment.
